Yanjing is a hearing science researcher with training in clinical medicine and otolaryngology. She earned her M.D. in Clinical Medicine and her M.Sc. in Otolaryngology, where she developed anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic drug-loaded polycaprolactone coatings for cochlear implant electrodes. She completed his Ph.D. in Audiology, focusing on biomaterial-based approaches for inner ear therapy. Her work included creating 3D-printed round-window niche implants using composite hydrogels for controlled drug delivery, as well as developing a plugin for precise segmentation of the external auditory canal and the design of customized canal implants.
Outside the lab, she enjoys cooking and exploring cuisines, listening to music, and traveling.
