Katherine Doherty

Katie is an undergraduate student majoring in Public Health with a minor in Chemistry on the pre-med track. She is passionate about improving healthcare in response to community needs, an interest further developed through her study abroad experience in Belfast, Northern Ireland with the University of Pittsburgh Frederick Honors College, where she explored the social roots of medical innovation.

Outside of the lab, Katie serves as a peer STEM tutor for student-athletes at Pitt and is a member of Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority and Kappa Kappa Gamma, where she consistently participates in philanthropic and leadership initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
